The Value of My Service (Why My Fees Are Minimal)
As both a travel advisor and a strong believer in transparency, I don’t charge general trip‑planning or consultation fees. In most cases, I’m compensated directly by the cruise lines and tour partners I work with so you’re not paying extra for my time, research, or design work. My focus is on fit, clarity, and support, not on adding hurdles.
What You Can Expect From Me
- Specialized cruise expertise (river & polar expeditions are my core focus), plus support for other styles of travel when it fits your plans.
- Customized itineraries that reflect your travel style, pace, accessibility needs, and budget.
- Time‑saving convenience across quotes, deadlines, travel documents, and supplier coordination.
- Advocacy & support before, during, and after travel so you’re never navigating issues alone.
When a Fee Does Apply
I keep it simple. Outside of supplier costs, I only charge two professional fees:
1) Airfare Booking & Management Fee
Airline ticketing requires dedicated systems, ticket monitoring, and post‑purchase support that are not covered by supplier commissions. A professional fee applies when I book/manage flights on your behalf ONLY when flights are not booked as part of additional travel services.
This covers:
- Flight research and schedule design (connection times, minimum transfer windows, overnights when needed)
- Fare rules & baggage allowance review
- Seat selection guidance (where applicable)
- Ticketing, schedule change management, and disruption support
2) Agency Cancellation Fee
If a trip is cancelled after planning work has begun, an agency cancellation fee applies (separate from any supplier fees) to help offset invested professional time.
Payment Terms
Payment Method: Credit card Only.
Payment Timing: Fees are due before services are rendered.
Refunds & Cancellations
- Agency professional fees (airfare booking/management and agency cancellation fees) are non‑refundable.
- These are in addition to any supplier‑imposed fees (airlines, cruise lines, hotels, tour operators, etc.).
Limitations of Liability
While I work hard to support you throughout your journey, I’m not responsible for disruptions caused by third‑party suppliers (e.g., schedule changes, delays/cancellations, accommodation issues, weather, or operational changes). I will advocate for you and assist in pursuing reasonable remedies with suppliers.
